cool side of the pillow…

In the middle of nowhere, surrounded by strip malls…
they’re in the middle of nowhere, too.
We’re in this together- no, that isn’t true.
“I was blind, now I see!” “I was blind, now I see!”
I believe some go to jail to get free (just not me)
Invisible bars for your hometown, trapped in a box…
Locked. Who’s got the key?…
It’s a big-screen production for all those affected
but most of us just let it be.
We start staring at screens, stop going to sleep.
going nowhere, can’t sit still though…
My whole world could change with a flip of my pillow.

A cool, blank page for dreams on the other side
tumble-dry summertime as butterflies flutter by
tongue tied, I run and hide under a rumbling thunder-filled sky
spilled sighs from another mind’s eye
It’s so loud, it’s a deafening chorus from 5 billion angels at one time
keeps clinbing higher in pitch- I go blind from it…
Earth cracks open, in 2 seconds becomes a black eggshell.

Was there life on Myrrh?
-That’s what they all want to know
being three stones throw from the fire
Inside of a mathematic code
asthmatic mold
black gold. Pyroclastic flow
puts the wires together…

Dreams jump start this universe, feather tornadoes.
